Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor grew out of an agricultural machinery factory founded in 1954. In 1969, “Liujiang” brand truck was produced, which was the first vehicle in Guangxi. In 1981, the machinery factory joined Dongfeng Motor Corporation and in 1997 the company was reorganized into Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. In the course of 60 years of vehicle producing and people educating, adhering to the enterprise spirit of "self strengthening, creating excellence and innovation, having one heart and one mind, serving for the nation and the people", our fellow workers from generation to generation have worked hard and created a lot of “Number One” in the history of Chinese automobile industry by diligence and sweat: in 1981, the first medium-sized diesel truck in China was developed and produced; in 1991, the first flat head diesel truck got off line in China; in 2001, the first domestic self-owned brand MPV “Fengxing Lingzhi” was produced, which established the company’s status as "MPV manufacturing expert"; in 2015, the first domestic high-end commercial vehicle “Chenglong H7” was released to fill the gap in the high-end commercial vehicle market from self-owned brand.
Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor has four complete processes and supporting facilities. Electrostatic spray robot technology leads the new trend in automotive spay painting technology; the complete computer aided design and manufacturing system, large CAD, CAE, CAPP software and workstations, together with PDM and MIS software systems are important guarantees for the quality of product development and management. The SPC control system is used to monitor the quality of the production process to ensure the stability and reliability of the product quality. With the complete construction of the new base for passenger vehicles, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor has formed an annual production capacity of 80,000 commercial vehicles and 400,000 passenger vehicles.
