FOR Industrialization: Zimbabwean President Met with Zhang Huarong




On Apr. 2nd, Zimbabwean President Emerson Mnangagwa began his state visit to China. On the next day, President Mnangagwa attended the “Luncheon of Zimbabwe-China International Economic and Cultural Exchange” and met with Zhang Huarong, Chairman of Huajian Group and Vice Chairman of CABC. At the luncheon, Zhang made a keynote speech on behalf of Chinese enterprises. 

Zhang noted that Zimbabwe was a beautiful country with rich natural resources and hard-working and simple people which made Zimbabwe a good place for investment. 




Huajian Group plans to invest in Zimbabwe, light industry manufacturing, mining and other comprehensive industries as the main body, and thus provides more employment opportunities, promotes the industrialization of Zimbabwe, and boost the local economic development. 

In his speaking, Zhang conveyed the hope that the two governments would attach great importance and support to projects concerning China and Zimbabwe. 




Zimbabwe-China Investment Forum Held in Beijing



On April 3rd,the Zimbabwe-China Investment Forum themed "Zimbabwe IS Open for Business" was held by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe. In the Forum Zimbabwean President Emerson Mnangagwa gave a speech and welcome Chinese enterprises to invest in Zimbabwe, especially in agriculture and mining. 


Present at the meeting were also representatives from the member units of CABC, which include Beijng Hengtong Innovation Luxwood Technology Company, Futong Group, Zhejiang Chilwee Power Company, China Hyway Goup and so on.
