On May 20, the “2026 China-Africa Financial Bridge Forum,” hosted by Morocco’s Attijariwafa Bank, was held in Beijing. The Moroccan Ambassador to China, the bank’s co-CEO, and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the China-Africa Business Council delivered opening remarks. Diplomats from multiple countries and nearly 200 representatives attended the event. The ambassador emphasized Morocco’s role as a hub; the Chairman of the Supervisory Board introduced the chamber’s service platform; and the co-CEO noted that China’s implementation of zero tariffs for 53 African countries sends a signal of cooperation. Institutions such as the China-Africa Development Fund engaged in discussions on China-Africa cooperation.
