On May 22, a delegation from South Africa’s Gauteng Province, which had come to Haifu Medical Technology Co., Ltd. Chongqing to attend the Western China International Fair, visited under the leadership of Speaker Morakane Mosupie to learn more about focused ultrasound ablation technology. Speaker Morakane Mosupyoe spoke highly of the technology and expressed hope that the new equipment would be introduced to South Africa as soon as possible. Since the HIFU was introduced to Bara Hospital in South Africa in 2015, it has successfully treated more than 1,000 patients and led to dozens of miraculous post-operative pregnancies. Currently, the HIFU has been exported to 36 countries, with over 360,000 cases treated, and is set to be included in the FIGO International Guidelines in 2025. This visit will further deepen medical technology cooperation between China and South Africa.
