On June 9, the three-day 2026 China-Africa Agricultural Science, Technology, and Industry Cooperation Forum and Exhibition opened in Nairobi, Kenya, with more than 100 representatives from Chinese and African government agencies, research institutions, and businesses in attendance. Guo Haiyan, China’s Ambassador to Kenya, stated that China’s agricultural technology and zero-tariff policy will bring opportunities for Africa’s agricultural transformation and agricultural exports. Representatives from the World Farmers’ Organization, the African Green Alliance, and other organizations emphasized a cooperation approach centered on farmers and grounded in science.
