The conference brought together representatives from government, business, finance, and academia to focus on the challenges and development pathways for China–Africa collaboration in the healthcare sector, with in-depth discussions centering on topics such as resource-sharing mechanisms, financial support, market access through African regulatory authorities, and the alignment of standards. Several companies shared their experiences of investment and trade with Africa, and the participating enterprises reached a consensus that China–Africa healthcare collaboration should move beyond traditional trade towards industrial chain synergy and localized operations. This symposium is part of the Council’s annual program of events, aimed at pragmatically advancing China–Africa healthcare collaboration to greater depth and substance.
