On 17 June 2026, the Guangdong–Africa Cooperation Symposium and the China–Africa New Areas of Cooperation Matchmaking Event were successfully held in Dongguan. The symposium aimed to implement the relevant principles of China–Africa cooperation, promote the zero-tariff policy on African imports, and advance cooperation in emerging sectors, bringing together representatives from enterprises in Guangdong and Dongguan looking to expand overseas.
