South Africa’s Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Blade Nzimande, said his country looks forward to deepening cooperation with China in artificial intelligence, clean energy, and youth science and technology exchanges. He noted that the two sides are advancing joint AI research networks and collaborating on clean energy technologies such as hydrogen and green ammonia, while strengthening their scientific foundation through young scientist exchange programs. Both countries are also working closely within multilateral frameworks including BRICS and the G20, and jointly participating in major international scientific projects such as the Square Kilometre Array radio telescope.
