Wuviswa Ramohapa, a Gauteng official, stated on February 2 that Chinese investments are driving South Africa's manufacturing transformation. Speaking at Haier's market entry event, he noted Haier's presence as one of Gauteng's most significant industrial projects in recent years. Ramohapa highlighted that Gauteng, as South Africa's economic hub, has attracted substantial Chinese investment since 2014, creating thousands of jobs. China serves as South Africa's largest trading partner, with bilateral trade patterns significantly advancing local industrial modernization.
