Recently, Mr. Zhang Zhigang (Mr. Paul Zhang), Chairman of Tian Tang Group, was awarded the "Mustard Seed Award" by the President of Uganda, recognizing his outstanding contributions to creating profound impact from modest beginnings. Starting in 2000 with only 100,000 RMB, Zhang ventured into Africa alone and built Tian Tang Group into a comprehensive enterprise spanning nine sectors with over 30 subsidiaries, earning him the title "Father of Chinese Industrial Investment in Uganda." The China-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park, developed under his leadership, is a national priority project that has attracted more than 75 companies, created tens of thousands of jobs, and become a model of China-Uganda industrial cooperation. This award not only honors his entrepreneurial journey but also reflects Uganda’s recognition of the Chinese investment model and the Belt and Road Initiative. Moving forward, Tian Tang Group will deepen its local presence and promote sustainable development in Africa, contributing to the building of a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.
