China's Total Imports of Coffee From Africa Amounted to 246 Million USD

From January to June 2025, Chinese provinces imported 246 million USD worth of coffee from Africa, exceeding the 157 million USD recorded for the entire year of 2024.

By July 2025, China has implemented a zero-tariff policy on all product categories from the 53 African countries with which it maintains diplomatic relations, directly reducing import costs. As one of the world's major coffee-producing regions, Africa offers high-quality coffee beans at relatively competitive prices, effectively meeting the growing demand of Chinese consumers for premium coffee products. In recent years, various regions in China have optimized the import supply chain for African coffee beans through direct procurement models, shortening procurement cycles and facilitating the circulation of African coffee in the Chinese market.
