Handover Ceremony of the Maternity Building in Cape Verde
On July 22,
2025, a handover ceremony was conducted for the maternity building project at
Baptista de Sousa Hospital in Mindelo, São Vicente Island, Cape Verde, which
was constructed with assistance from China.
This project was
implemented by the African branch of China Railway 14th Bureau Group Co., Ltd.
It covers 5,768 square meters of construction area and includes 150 beds, along
with a comprehensive range of modern medical facilities. The Chinese side will
continue to offer specialized training and technical service support for Cape
Verde’s medical personnel.
