Under China's
multifaceted policy initiatives, including the provision of 100% zero tariffs
to 53 African countries, high-quality agricultural and food products from
Africa are increasingly entering the market of Hunan, China.
In the first half of 2025, Hunan's total trade volume with Africa reached 28.99 billion RMB, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 7.6%. Of this total, agricultural product imports from Africa amounted to 160 million RMB, while aquatic product imports surged by 127% year-on-year. Notably, imports of sesame, coffee, and dried chili peppers rose by 62.2%, 197.8%, and 499.4%, respectively.
