On July 15, 2025, the construction of the Zainma Highway in Malawi, contracted by China Railway 20th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., officially launched in the central region of the country. The first 10-kilometer test section is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025, with the entire line expected to be completed and opened to traffic in April 2027. Upon completion, the project will provide improved accessibility for 15 villages and over 70,000 residents along the route.
