According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, the bilateral trade volume between China and Kenya reached 0.985 billion US dollars in April 2025, a year-on-year increase of 31.00%; the cumulative trade value was 3.231 billion US dollars from January to April, up by 16.60% year-on-year. It is worth mentioning that China's exports to Kenya had been robust, with an export value of 0.969 billion US dollars in April, a year-on-year increase of 32.00%; the export value from January to April accumulated to 3.145 billion US dollars, up by 16.90% year-on-year. In contrast, imports from Tanzania slightly fluctuated compared to a year earlier, while the cumulative import value maintained a certain degree of growth from January to April, reaching US$86 million, a year-on-year increase of 7.70%.
