Fujian’s African Imports Up 18.83%

According to data from Xiamen Customs, from January to April in 2025, Fujian Province’s trade volume with Africa reached 30.346 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.09%. Among these,  imports totaled 14.524 billion yuan, with a significant year-on-year increase of 18.83%, while exports amounted to 15.822 billion yuan. In the first 4 months, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Africa, and Guinea were Fujian's main trade partners for imports from Africa, with imports amounting to 4.122 billion yuan, 3.072 billion yuan, and 1.888 billion yuan, respectively, accounting for 62.53% in total. The first three markets that Fujian Province exported to in Africa were Nigeria, South Africa, and Egypt, with a cumulative export value of 1.932 billion yuan, 1.829 billion yuan, and 1.341 billion yuan, respectively, accounting for 32.25% of the total export value to Africa in the aggregate.
