According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, the bilateral trade volume between China and Tanzania reached 2.115 billion US dollars from January to March 2025, a year-on-year increase of 12.1%. Notably, the trade volume in March alone amounted to 806 million US dollars, a significant year-on-year increase of 30%. It is worth mentioning that China's exports to Tanzania have been robust, with a cumulative export value of 2.019 billion US dollars from January to March, up by 15.9% year-on-year. In contrast, imports from Tanzania, affected by fluctuations in international commodity prices and local supply chain adjustments, amounted to a cumulative 96 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 33.3%.
