Recently, Wang Jian, Chairman and Co-founder of BGI Group, led a delegation to Kenya to attend the ‘Science Week’ conference organized by the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). During the meeting, the two sides exchanged the latest scientific and technological advances and research directions, and reached an agreement on deepening the cooperation, building a platform, and empowering scientific research. BGI Group showcased its achievements and cooperation plans in germplasm resources digitization, genomics technology, perennial rice promotion, etc., emphasizing the key role of accelerating crop breeding, enhancing food security and promoting agricultural development through technological innovation and international cooperation, which attracted a number of international organizations to discuss cooperation.
