A meeting in Beijing highlighted Shandong
Province's efforts to support the 2024 FOCAC Summit, aiming to promote
modernization in China and Africa. Representatives from Chinese and African governments,
the African Union, and Shandong enterprises gathered to strengthen policy
communication and align cooperation needs. Shandong plans to expand sister-city
relationships, boost trade and industrial collaboration, and enhance
cooperation in infrastructure, healthcare, and green growth. Local governments
and African ambassadors shared cooperation plans and needs. The event also
featured presentations from UNDP China, UNIDO, and Shandong enterprises on
their projects and platforms in Africa.
