On March 1st, the mutual recognition of “Authorized Economic Operators” (AEO) between China Customs and Burundi Customs was formally implemented. Burundi became the third African country to implement AEO mutual recognition with China after Uganda and South Africa.
This is also the first AEO mutual recognition arrangement between Changsha Customs and African countries after the State Council approved the construction of a Pioneering Zone for In-depth China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation in Hunan Province, and it is another important initiative of the Customs service to promote the high-quality development of Hunan-Africa economic and trade.
