The China-Africa Think Tank Forum is a significant sub-forum of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). Over the past 15 years, it has hosted 13 sessions and numerous seminars in China and African nations, involving over 5,000 scholars discussing key topics of mutual concern and strategic collaboration. These discussions have achieved substantial consensus on various issues.
On March 8, 2024, the 13th China-Africa Think Tank Forum was successfully held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. A major achievement of the forum was the release of the “China-Africa Dar es Salaam Consensus” – a joint declaration by 100 China-Africa scholars on deepening global development cooperation. The consensus calls for the international community to uphold principles of mutual respect, solidarity, openness, and shared prosperity to promote development cooperation and foster a community with a shared future for mankind.
