In recent years, Weihai City in Shandong
Province has focused on “dual services” and actively integrated into the
national agenda for Africa-related initiatives. Through high-level leadership,
departmental collaboration, platform building, and brand development, Weihai is
striving to establish the “Weihai Model” for China-Africa cooperation.
Currently, over 620 enterprises in Weihai
trade with more than 50 African countries and regions. The city has established
66 enterprises or institutions in Africa with a total investment of $640
million across 21 industries, including construction and warehousing logistics.
Over 100 projects have been implemented in more than 20 African countries,
generating billions of dollars in revenue.
Since 2020, Weihai’s annual exports to
Africa have grown by an average of 27.1%. From January to October this year,
