On November 15, 2024, Chinese Ambassador to
Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, met with Ms. Chen Xiuxia, Chairperson of Choice
International Group and vice chairman of CABC, at the Chinese Embassy in Abuja. The two parties conducted
in-depth discussions on the progress of China-Nigeria bilateral cooperation
projects.
Ms. Chen highlighted the progress of Choice
International Group’s three major projects in Nigeria:
1. The GAC Motors Nigeria assembly plant, a
joint venture with the Lagos State Government, which has completed the assembly
of over 3,000 domestically produced vehicles.
2. The Lagride urban public transport project,
which plans to deploy 5,000 new vehicles, including electric vehicles.
3. The China-Nigeria bilateral barter trade
platform project, developed in strategic cooperation with the Hunan Provincial
Department of Commerce.
Ambassador Yu praised Choice International
Group for its achievements in advancing practical cooperation between China and
Nigeria and pledged strong support for the “China Learning Center” project.
