On the afternoon of July 10, 2024, President Xi Jinping met with President Umaro Sissoco Embaló of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau in Beijing during his state visit to China. During their discussions, both heads of state reached a consensus to elevate bilateral relations between China and Guinea-Bissau to the level of a strategic partnership, marking a significant milestone in the diplomatic ties between the two nations. Prior to his state visit, President Umaro Sissoco Embaló held a Presidential Dialogue in Beijing, attended by Ms. Xu Qun, Chairwoman of Greenrord International Logistics and Vice Chairman of the China-Africa Business Council (CABC). As a significant contributor to China-Guinea-Bissau cooperation, Ms. Xu provided President Embaló with a comprehensive overview of Greenrord’s global operations, sustained efforts and achievements in African market over the years. Ms. Xu also discussed with the president on logistics cooperation between China and Guinea-Bissau in critical areas such as enhancing logistics efficiency, optimizing supply chain management, and facilitating trade in minerals and agricultural products.
