On May 15, the China-Zambia High-Quality Development Forum was held at the Zambia International Conference Center to commemorate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Zambia. The forum aimed to deepen economic and trade ties and promote substantial cooperation for high-quality development. Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. During the forum, Chen Shengde, Chairman of Zhongyang Holdings Group, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Agricultural Technology Cooperation with the China-aided Zambia Agricultural Technology Demonstration Center. The agreement aims to leverage each party's expertise in several areas, including seed resource conservation and improvement, agricultural technology research and application, agricultural product processing and value enhancement, soil improvement, and specialized breeding techniques. This collaboration seeks to enhance production technologies and management standards within the agricultural park, ensure local food security, promote the modernization of Zambia's agriculture, and achieve both economic and social benefits, therefore opening new chapters for China-Zambia agricultural cooperation.
