On August 24, Ambassador Zhang Lizhong was invited to attend and deliver a speech at the opening and groundbreaking ceremony of the Sino-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park. Uganda's President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Minister of Finance Matia Kasaija, Minister of Energy and Mines Ruth Nankabirwa, Chairman of Mbale Industrial Park Zhang Zhigang, and representatives of the enterprises in the park attended.
