The 10th of Ramadan
railway, which was built with the participation of China Railway No 5
Engineering Group, successfully opened to traffic on July 3. The 10th of Ramadan railway
project is the first electrified railway in Egypt using Chinese technology and
equipment, and is built to Chinese standards. It has a total length of about 67
kilometers and a maximum operating speed of 120 km/h with stations along the
line.
