October 16th, Ksh 50 billion Nairobi Expressway Project officially started, which was developed by both Chinese corporations and Kenyan government. The total line of this express way is at the length of 26.8 kilometers and its designed speed is about 80 kilometers per hour.
It will take 3 years for construction and 27 years for operation by China Road & Bridge Corporation. After that, its property and equipment will be transferred to Kenya for free. The project will create 3000 job opportunities in construction period and 5000 job opportunities in operation period.
