【Events】The 1st Ethiopia Railway Summit Successfully Concluded in Addis Ababa
Organized by the CABC Overseas Member, The China Africa Advisory, the 1st Ethiopia Railway Summit was successfully held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 17 to 18 September 2018. It was a first-of-its-kind event dedicated to the development of Ethiopia’s railway sector, providing an effective platform for international railway technology companies, investors and financial institutions to engage with Ethiopian decision-makers and technical experts on concrete partnership opportunities.
Ethiopia has the ambition to create over 5,000 km of modern railway across the country offering a USD 15 billion business opportunity, which is now also being realized through the country’s new Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) regulations and privatization efforts.
It was announced that the 2nd Ethiopia Railway Summit will also take place in Addis Ababa in 2019.
