China-Africa Private Sector Cooperation Summit was successfully held by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) in Hangzhou, China on September 6, 2018. China-Africa Business Council is one of the co-organizers.

The forum is divided into two main parts: the opening ceremony and main forum in the morning and three parallel forums in the afternoon. The three parallel subforums were “Private enterprises Support for China-Africa Industrial capacity cooperation”, “Private enterprises Support for China-Africa infrastructure development” and “Private enterprises Support for China-Africa health industry development”.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Mr XU Lejiang, Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee and Secretary of Party Leadership - Executive Vice Chairman of ACFIC and was organized around a series of keynote speeches from Zhejiang Province’s highest leadership as well distinguished African guests including His Excellency Senegalese President Mr Macky Sall.

CABC, ACFIC and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province co-organized the Private Sector Support for China-Africa Capacity Cooperation Sub-Forum.

The sub-forum started with a series of keynote speeches, followed by a two-part panel session that brought together Chinese and African business leaders both in China and Africa.

As the title of the sub forum suggests, this diverse group of individuals who have accumulated a lot of experience over the past decade shared their experiences as well as challenges while operating in their respective fields. They also offered a good amount of insights on benefits and impact industrial parks development can have on Africa’s development as well as key areas of improvement yet to take place.
