Hon. Édouard
Bizimana, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and Development
Cooperation of Burundi, noted on September 16 that China’s remarkable
development achievements and its development path of relying on its own
strengths offer inspiration to developing countries, including Burundi.
Speaking at a reception hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Burundi, Hon. Bizimana
highlighted that China-Burundi relations are built on sincerity, solidarity,
mutual respect and mutual benefit and were elevated to a comprehensive
strategic partnership in September 2024. He noted that cooperation in
infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, education, energy, science and
technology, trade and investment has contributed to Burundi’s socio-economic
transformation and improved living conditions. He also expressed appreciation
for the vision of a community with a shared future for humanity and China’s
Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, Global Civilization
Initiative and Global Governance Initiative.
