CABC Supports Ghana’s Export Growth and Trade Facilitation

On September 8, a delegation of entrepreneurs from the China-Africa Business Council (CABC) held talks with Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy Authority in Accra and signed a memorandum of understanding to establish regular cooperation in key areas under Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme. On September 11, CABC, the 24-Hour Economy Authority and the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a joint meeting on promoting Ghanaian exports and trade facilitation. Discussions focused on leveraging China’s zero-tariff policy, improving customs clearance, quality certification and logistics efficiency, and establishing China-Ghana export matchmaking mechanisms. China’s zero-tariff treatment for all 53 African countries with diplomatic ties took effect on May 1, 2026, creating new opportunities for Ghanaian products to enter the Chinese market.
