
In a
recent interview with Xinhua News Agency, Ms.Farhana Paruk, China-Africa expert
from South Africa noted that China’s
rapid development of the robotics industry is creating significant
opportunities for Africa in manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare and mining.
She noted that China’s progress has been supported by long-term planning,
policy continuity, sustained investment, talent development and a strong
manufacturing base. Paruk pointed out that Chinese robotics technologies could
support precision agriculture, remote healthcare, safer mining operations and
smart manufacturing in Africa. She also noted that China-Africa cooperation in
robotics could be further expanded into research, education, skills development
and technology transfer, helping strengthen Africa’s technological capabilities
and advance industrial modernization.
