The China-Africa Kenya Industrial
Cooperation and Water and Power Partnership Forum and Matchmaking Event was
held in Nairobi on September 3, bringing together around 120 representatives
from Chinese and Kenyan enterprises. Discussions focused on equipment
procurement, engineering cooperation, technical services and project needs,
while Kenyan companies expressed interest in investment, technology solutions and
local market development. Wang Jiang, Deputy Secretary-General of the
China-Africa Business Council (CABC), highlighted the growing presence of
Chinese enterprises in Africa and called for greater attention to compliance,
localization and corporate social responsibility. The event coincided with the
9th Kenya International Industrial Expo (KIIE), where power, energy storage and
other industrial solutions attracted strong interest from local participants.
