China–Africa
trade reached a new record high of 1.41 trillion RMB in the first half of this
year, up 19.6% year on year. Driven by zero-tariff measures, industrial
complementarity, the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), and improved
financial and customs services, bilateral trade continued to expand with a more
balanced structure. China’s exports to Africa were led by capital and
intermediate goods, while African agricultural and processed products saw
strong growth in the Chinese market. Looking ahead, China and Africa will
deepen cooperation in industrial chains, infrastructure, digital trade, and
cross-border finance, turning the benefits of zero tariffs into sustained
momentum for high-quality trade development.
