Recently,
China-Africa Review (Rwanda) published a commentary noting that the success of
Chinese manufacturing stems from sustained investment in education,
technological innovation, infrastructure, industrial planning and efficient
supply chains, while economies of scale have helped reduce costs and improve
efficiency. The article argues that claims of a “China threat theory” do not
reflect reality, as efficient Chinese manufacturing benefits consumers
worldwide through greater supply, lower prices, wider choices and faster
technological innovation.The article further notes that amid global challenges
including climate change, energy security and rising living costs, China-made
electric vehicles, solar panels and batteries have made green technologies more
accessible to more countries, including developing nations, accelerating the
global clean energy transition and demonstrating the contribution of Chinese
manufacturing to the world economy.
