On June 5, the RESPITE Solar-plus-Storage Project in Sierra Leone, designed, procured, and constructed by TBEA, was officially commissioned. With an installed capacity of 50 MW of solar power supported by a 28 MWh battery energy storage system, it is the country's first national large-scale power generation project to enter operation in nearly a decade, marking a major milestone in Sierra Leone's energy infrastructure development. President Julius Maada Bio visited the project site and highly commended its construction achievements, praising TBEA for delivering the project with high quality and efficiency. The project is expected to strengthen Sierra Leone's power supply capacity and support the country's green energy transition and sustainable socio-economic development.
