On January 1, the Yiwu China-Africa Business Council and the Yiwu African Alliance formally signed a cooperation agreement, marking a new step in strengthening China–Africa economic and people-to-people exchanges at the local level. Leaders from both sides highlighted Yiwu’s role as a key hub for China–Africa trade and expressed strong expectations for deeper collaboration. The partnership aims to enhance communication, support African communities in Yiwu, and promote two-way cooperation in trade, resources and cultural exchange. Representatives from different African countries also introduced themselves, laying the groundwork for more targeted cooperation. The signing of the agreement opens a new chapter for pragmatic, mutually beneficial China–Africa cooperation.
