The China–Uganda Belt and Road Joint Laboratory on Natural Disaster Monitoring and Early Warning was inaugurated at Makerere University on December 17. The lab is jointly established by Tsinghua University and Makerere University, with support from China’s Ministry of Science and Technology. Officials from both countries and university representatives attended the unveiling ceremony. The lab will serve as a key platform for research, technology exchange, and capacity building between China and Uganda.
