From December 9 to 15, at the invitation of COMESA, the delegation of China-Africa Business Council visited Egypt and attend the Intra-African Trade Fair co-hosted by the African Union, the Egyptian Government and the African Export-Import Bank.
The Intra-African Trade Fair is initiated under the spirit of The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) brokered by the African Union and signed on by 44 of its 55 member states. The Fair will be held each two years.
The event was the first of its kind in Africa, consisting of a 7-day trade fair that provided an exposition platform of all fields for more than 1000 companies from 41 countries and attracted about 70 thousand people to visit.
The opening ceremony was spotlighted by the attendance and speeches of the former President of Nigeria, the Chairperson of AU by MC, the Prime Minister of Egypt and the Chairman of African Export-Import Bank, etc.
